On the 14th of this month Terri will be 18! EIGHTEEN.
Nearly 18 years of having her, 6 more years than we were ever supposed to. When she was diagnosed Mum and Dad were told "If you think she is going to live as long as your other children, she wont", "her life expectancy is around 12 years old".
Throwing back to 2008 when Mum and Dad had to tell us about the diagnosis, whilst telling us about Disney Land to soften the blow.
Since then the idea of Terri turning 18 has always been a dream. An "imagine if" and it's nearly here. She's proved them all wrong, including myself.
I've had the dream planned for a while, I was going to take her to town get her to order a pint and watch the peoples face when I show her ID. I was going to take her partying (and use her wheelchair to hold me up when I've had a few too many).. but then rona came along and put a dent in that plan.
Cute pictures of Terri Nicola below...
